The main / second floor living and master wings of this modern home occupy two separate square, airy volumes linked via a low-profile entry link. The minimalist modern design palette combines concrete foundations with a timber-framed post and beam structure, wood roof decking, black-painted steel hardware, exposed stucco, and cedar siding. Each of the separate wings’ shed roofs lift in opposite directions, dynamic tectonics that are experiences both from within and the outside. The rising roofs accommodate tall windows overlooking the surroundings, and bringing in ample daylight.
